Lonart DS 80/480mg is an antimalarial tablet combining artemether 80 mg with lumefantrine 480 mg, prescribed for the treatment of acute, uncomplicated malaria.
- Active ingredients: artemether 80 mg + lumefantrine 480 mg
- Indication: for treating acute, uncomplicated malaria only
- Not suitable for: prevention of malaria, or treatment of severe or complicated malaria
- Patient suitability: intended for adults (body weight 35 kg and above)
- How it works: eliminates the malaria parasites by inhibiting the synthesis of nucleic acids and proteins
