- Clotrimazole is primarily excreted via bile and urine, mostly in metabolized forms, with only 1% as active drug.
- Beclomethasone dipropionate
- Beclomethasone is a synthetic glucocorticoid with potent anti-inflammatory effects and fewer side effects compared to oral glucocorticoids.
- Gentamicin
- Gentamicin is a powerful antibiotic that works by stopping bacteria from producing essential proteins. It is effective against many types of bacteria, including those that cause skin infections. Gentamicin is also effective against some Mycoplasma and Actinomyces species.
2. What are the uses of Candiderm?
Candiderm is indicated for the treatment of skin infections, including:

- Impetigo (red sores on the face)
- Psoriasis (rapid cell turnover causing red, scaly patches)
- Diaper rash
- Skin infections

- Conditions such as cellulitis, eczema with lichenification, pompholyx, contact dermatitis, neurodermatitis, seborrheic dermatitis, pustules, angular cheilitis, and ulcers
- Athlete’s foot, jock itch, body ringworm, and secondary bacterial infections with eczema

- Application: Clean and dry the affected area, then apply a thin layer of cream 2–3 times daily.
